Student perceptions of the community of inquiry framework and satisfaction: Examining the role of academic emotion and self-regulation in a structural model

As many schools remain closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, various courses have to be migrated online. Previous studies showed that students’ satisfaction of could reflect quality online learning, which is determined by perception courses. Although community inquiry (CoI) framework provided an effective tool for measuring in mechanisms between CoI and satisfaction, especially role academic emotion self-regulation, still need investigated context. The present study aimed (1) explore relationships among three elements framework; (2) as well mediating self-regulation. data was collected from 461 university students who were taking China. results Structural Equation Modeling teaching presence significantly positively predicted social cognitive presence; both positive negative emotions played roles presence, satisfaction; self-regulation satisfaction. empirical evidence dynamics education environment.
